So bought the game about an hour ago and wanted to test ist at the laptop of my gf. I started the game via the gog galaxy launcher annnnd nothing happens. The game is running in the background (seen in the taskmanager) but i dont see just anything except the windows desktop. in the launcher it runs too.

Its not the newest laptop but i should at least have the possibility to start the game or get any error message or something.

So, cant play, sunday is fucked :/.

greetings from germany

Does the laptop have at least 8 GB of RAM? I know it's an odd requirement for a game like Pathway, but other people had issues with running it on machines with less than 8 GB of main memory. This requirement is also clearly stated on the store page.
1.06 is available i doubt it will solve cpu / performance problems ... downloaded the 1.06 will install , cross fingers and hope for the best :D

sad to hear that, i got it 3 days ago and wasted 3 days looking for solutions, 1.06 is online now , but i doubt it will solve my problems, just installed the game and ran as admin which shouldnt be needed cause what about gamers that have the game and dont have admin rights on the pc ?

Anyway i hope it solves my problems with the game but tbh i have little faith in this 1.06 patch , but we shall see. the game is installed and ready to run....

well that was a very short ride : ٩(×̯×)۶٩(×̯×)۶٩(×̯×)۶٩(×̯×)۶٩(×̯×)۶

this game wont run properly , dev doesnt even know how to fix a performance problem , isn't even aware of it, then again i am the only one i guess .... anyway , they should really start to add what programming language was used to create any game this way i and maybe a few others can avoid frustrations and wasting 4 days looking for a solution.....
This way we can avoid buying game(s) that are written in meh programming languages , i mean i thought unity was bad but this java is a very good contender and maybe they end up together on palce number 1 in the coding hall of shame.

Anyway a game that seems to 'compile' first everytime before running ? wtf? why cant the dev just put all the 3 or 4 GB data in ONE exe, so nothing has to be 'compiled' on the fly , i have games that have 1 to 3 or 4 gb .exe file and they run like a charm...
I knew the cpu abuse wasnt going to be solved cause he simply is NOT aware of it ( *sighs* again and again x 1 billion) big huge facepalm

Not a developer/coder here but i know a game like this could easily fit and use 4 GB RAM , no 8 gb or more....
then again : java ( i still cant believe it... its just to funny to read java to create games with ....) anyway this is the final ...
goodbye game back to the shelves collecting digital dust.

The lack of RAM is then likely why it doesn't work on your GF's laptop. I'm sorry about that.. :(
The game's default configuration lets it only use 4 GB of RAM. Not sure that affects native code, but definitely the java part. Look at config.json if you are interested. You may also find crash logs in the game directory if you had crashes.
