Well, i like to use/have builds that will work later and on higher difficulties too:) not only on normal.
Otherwise i would spec only as i like, but after i tried this at the beginning..it was no fun:P
And thx for the support link (2.) but i don t want to have a support MC, i want to have a dmg dealer as my mc.

And i thought just like you some time ago. I rly loved pure builds, but after some time playing around. reading e.g. i saw the potential of dips in other classes. Ofc we can build every class pure, but esp. with fighters it will be very boring without dips in other stuff.
