Either my computer blue screens or freezes within char gen or game gen. I tried to play both manual install and galaxy client. I’ve verified my installs over and over. Other games work.

When your GPU has shaders there's no option in using them or not using them...;) Most modern games require a GPU with shaders onboard--or they just won't run. All modern GPUs made in the last few years use shaders. Next time you want to make a comment about your GPU, it would be a big help if you'd provide the model GPU you have in your system. It isn't the GPU throwing errors, obviously, it's your game throwing the errors about your GPU not supporting shaders--something very basic your GPU has to have for most all games today. Have a very old GPU sans shaders? The games won't run.
