Like the title says, I just took the Aldori Dueling Mastery feart on my Sword Saint. I love the flavor of the Aldori, and it seemed like a natural fit.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working as expected. I don't have the shield bonus to AC, though I am weilding only a Dueling Saber with no weapon or sheild in my offhand. I thought that the Spell Combat feature, which is descibed as being handled like two-weapon fighting might be interfering, so I tried toggling it off. There was no still no shield bonus to my AC. There's no bonus to my initiave modifier either, though the description suggests that should apply regardless of what's in my offhand.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I was thinking of doing that my self. But I guess "Technically" Magi are dual weilding
Well, the new patch notes say the feat was fixed. Unfortunately, that fix is not retroactive. I re-equipped my dueling sword with no shield bonus popping up, and the combat log isn't listing the initiative bonus.

Maybe when I next level up it will fix itself.

It doesn't work on new characters either. I made an Aldori Defender with this feat after the update rolled out and it still doesn't work.

It looks like the weapon is being used 2 handed wich blocks the feat but I can't find a way to prevent the 2 handed use.

What weapon? What size character?

Dueling Blade on a human.

If you go with a Human Fighter you can start off with Aldori Dueling Master Feat and a Dueling Blade.
Then I got nuthin'.

That was my thought. it's a pity makes a good character and would make the sword saint more survivable in the early game.
Apparently the hotfix was seriously flawed for WIndows users, so I'm hoping that the fix for the fix will sweep this bug out the door for good. We'll see.

EDIT: And it did! Dueling Mastery was adding the shield bonus to my SS when I loaded up my game after the new patch. Woo!
