What means this treachery, old friend...?

Same here. The game did an update and now it is said the installation is broken. It worked fine before the update.

I would advise not trying to verify/repair at this time.

I did, and now it's in a neverending loop of doing so.

Same here - Mac version. Tried to install the update, installation broken. Did a full uninstall / reinstall from scratch, still broken.

What the heck? First DLC breaks the game for days, now this, really getting pissed here. I love the game but why does it have to feel like playing Russian Roulette with every patch?!!?

Same problem here. Also on a Mac. I found a workaround:

1)Right click on the application in /Applications

2) Pick "show package contents"

3) Run "Kingmaker"

It appears that my cloud saves sync properly with the GOG client, but the client won't launch the game. The container app is also broken, but there's a second app container inside that one that works.

Go figure.

Edit: damned, now I get an infinite loading screen when I actually try to load a safegame :(

I also had problems after installing the new version of 27th december.

I tried deleting the game. That went OK.
But now I cannot install it again.

Installer says that there isn't enough space available. Even though the disk has 120 GB available.
Anyone know how much space is needed? The installer says "28 GB download - 40 GB installed".

I have also this problem now. I am on Mac. I have 300 Go available on the hard drive.
This happened when I tried to overcome the "broken file issue". I uninstalled the game and re-installed it. The game archive has been downloaded but when I want to install it, I have the not enough space available message.

All these issues come from the 27th december patch (or 26).

Not to put too fine a point on it, the feature I would most request is that this doesn't happen with future patches.

Not being able to play is one thing, but attempting to verify and being forced to reinstall is the absolute pits.

And of course, it happens again.

How hard is this to not mess up?

After installing to 1.2.0 the game wont start..

I just get a black screen and the game cursor..

Any update on this issue?
