Last time the game was on sale I bought the main + tiefling DLC.

I'm used to steam so I thought you get discounts on bundles if you own part of it already, it seems its not the case here. My question is, what happens to the second "copy" of the wildcards DLC if I buy the season pass "full" price?

Also, I read in the description that "choices carry over into the main story"... do I play this DLC before the main game?

I'm pretty sure you are going to have extra useless wildcards dlc. Is it just better at that point to buy Varnhold and Beneath stolen land alone?

As for your second question, its better to do Varnhold dlc between chapter 2-3 of the main campaign. Its chronologically when the event take place and then when chapter 4 start, you choose the dlc save file to be imported in the main game.

Thanks for the reply! Will I need to start a new game to apply the DLC or can I continue? I just hit chapter 2 (just got my barony) a few hours ago.

I'm pretty sure you can continue. Beneath the stolen first 'quest' is near the end of Ancient curse part 2 and for Varnhold you need to start a new game but a Varnhold campaign.

They both have a new game option in the menu, a Varnhold campaign that gonna use your main campaign save file from chapter 2 and at chapter 4 you main game gonna use that Varnhold save file.

Beneath the stolen land rogue-like mode different from the one in the main campaign and independent to it.

Edit: Be careful, don't keep your main game campaign progress on a quick save when ready to do Varnhold campaign. Quick saves are universal for all campaign, they get override and erase.
