Anyone else getting this error under 1.0.10B when loading savegames made while playing this version of the game? I alredy wrote to the developers and attached a screenshot, a save file and the logfile.

I, for now, can't possibly continue playing because any advancement would be lost as soon as I try loading a savegame, or as soon as the game crashes (not so unlikely, too).

Would really apprecciate if a dev could say a thing or two to this.... Just saying.... Any Information is better than none.

*Edit* Of course, one more thing: If it bears any relevancy I'm on Windows 10, some I7 Processor, two graphics cards in SLI and plenty of RAM... The usual stuff I assume

*Update* reinstalled the game and deleted everything, then I put my save files back again... the ones that didn't work before still don't. BUT I was able to save and load succesfully afterwards.... like 5 Times. When I was about to leave the Capital (to confront nazrielle) the game crashed back to main menu, now all other savegames are corrupted again, same error.
This is highly unusual.

old saves work fine for me. I did get something like this a while ago once, but just relaunching the game fixed it.

Yeah, me too. But this time it's way more stubborn. So far I've tried restarting the game, restarting my PC, starting the game in compatibillity mode and/or as an administrator.

I could try to start a new game and test if those savegames also get corrupted, but then, what for? Wouldn't help anyone.

maybe you got a short end of the stick and got one of those corrupted saves that can't be fixed they mentioned in the patch. you could try and send save file to technical@owlcatgames.com along with a screenshot they will have a better idea of what happened.

Yeah thanks, but as mentioned above: I already did that ;)

I try reinstalling and stuff
Hey!

Do you use old saves or you started new game? Unfortunately, there was issue with zip library and saves could became corrupt.
Also, do you have any mods installed?

I am sorry that I revive such an old post.
But I have the same problem (only I am on version 2.0.8 now)

I read a lot about that error but could not find any solution.

In my case I can narrow it down to this:

I am at the house at the end of time and as long as I do not have any party members, I can load the savegames without a problem.

From the moment on that the first companion (in my case Valerie) joins my party, the savegames are corrupted / won't load.

(I even loaded an old savegame, played, saved every 10 minutes or so, got whiped by the satyr guy and when I tried to load, the error occured again)

The exact same error message is shown (I will attach it to this message)

- I am playing the current version of the game: 2.0.8
- I have no mods installed.
- I have altered some stats of my main character some time ago (trickery and perception, because I wanted to be able to find every chest and open it) but that hasn't been a problem for some time now.

I am slightly desperate, since I played that game for weeks and now, at the grand finale I run into a gamebreaking bug.

Any help is welcome!

gravel04: try to verify the integrity of the game files
Thank you for your answer, gravel04!

I have tried that like 3 or 4 times, but it did not help me.

Nevertheless, yesterday night I found a solution that worked for me, even though I have no clue why it does:

1. I figured out which my last working savegame is (inside the house, but no companion in the party), deleted all the newer, "corrupted", savegames and loaded the last working one.
(I guess deleting the savegames is not necessery but I did not want to load a faulty one by accident.)

2. I played until I met my first companion in the house (this time I went for Harrim) and when he had joined my party I created a savegame (let's call that savegame 01 - Harrim).
I tried to load that savegame and it did not work.

3. I then closed the game and loaded that 01 - Harrim savegame into the savegame editor I used to alter some stats (I mentioned it in my post above).

4. I changed something (I think I put Trickery back to 17 from the 25 I had set it to). On saving these changes, the savegame editor creates a new savegame called Edited - 01 - Harrim (in my case).

5. This Edited - 01 - Harrim savegame, that was created by the savegame editor, loaded without an error!
I was able to play from this point on without further problems.
I could create normal savegames which would work, just as quicksaving and -loading would work.
I am ca. 1 hour into the house now, more companions have joined my party and the problem did not occur again.

It feels like the savegame editor fixed the problem even though I know that this sounds a little bit far fetched...
Anyway it worked for me, at least until now.

I used the savegame editor simply called "Pathfinder Editor" that can be found on the nexusmods homepage.

---

UPDATE:
The Error occured yet again, after adding Amiri back to my party in the Frozen Boneyard.
And again I was able to "repair" the savegame with the savegame editor using the steps as described above. Strange!

I can confirm, this method worked for me too. I noticed the error message when i was doing the So Shall You Reap quest in the Everblooming Flower Cradle location. But I couldn't load any saves back to when I started the Cursed King quest. Used the editor on a save file and I can play them again.
