drealmer7: Anyone offering a bribe I had detained unless they seemed like a good person that was truly desperate, but most desperate people can't bribe. Gave the guy back his banner, gave the guy his watch, never ever ever let Jorji in (and never detained him.)
Hang on - so you didn't let Jorji in even that one time he has valid documents and you can't search him yet?

You're obviously way better at getting people through - I can typically make 10 or so on non-terrorist days on average, with the only time I'd get close to 14-16 would be the first few days when paperwork is easy. And I'd still accidentally let in the occasional dodgy person due to stuff like not realising their gender was wrong!

Of course that could partially be because arresting people takes up so much time compared to just stamping them... ;)

Nope, I didn't let Jorji in any time. Never the entire game. Denied every time, because I knew he was getting them forged, no matter if the forgery was perfect, he even tells you when everything is valid that to get everything to be valid he had to pay a lot of money. NO SIR! DENIED! I never detained him either because I figured he was just going to bribe the detanee guard and then be let through. At the end of the game (last time he comes) he even thanked me for being such a good person, said he was going to change his ways/I set a good example or something like that, gave me 40c, his passport, and said farewell! He was a lot of fun!

I got good at getting so many people through because I replayed a lot of days. I replayed the first 7 days a BUNCH of times before I went beyond that and it helped me be very good at the basics before making things more complex. It was also easy for me to memorize all of the issuing cities for some reason (my GF played and was still checking valid issuing cities near the end of the game, when I had them down by day 10, after a lot of replaying, though.)

I worked out a very efficient system too. I always put all of the documents in the same places and did everything in the same order every time (made my assessment if they were male or female as soon as they walked up, before they even give documents, that way when I'd open it up I'd be saying to myself "a female from Obristan...visiting...2 weeks", and if it wasn't a F on the passport, I'd have that discrepancy first before anything.)

What a fun little game, I really wish they'd expand it!
Jorji was a lot of fun - even after I arrested him he still helped me out. ;)

Also I like how he's probably the only one who actually admits his crime when he's caught, so he gets points for that in my book. "Is drugs!".

I thought I also had a reasonably decent system - also organised the rule book, wanted posters etc. in just the right way, pretty much checked things in order every time - but my crap memory still meant that I flicked through the rule book a lot. Actually it's not that I couldn't remember the places/etc., but I always had to double-check in case of strange spelling since those would catch me out.

But for some reason the main one that would get me is gender. Honestly there are a few times where I've gone "I was supposed to pick up on that? I can't tell WHAT this person is?!". IMO the only place where the graphic style kind of makes this harder than it needs to be.

BTW one thing I found kind of weird, is that out of all the people who give incorrect visit details, every single one of them immediately gave the correct answer when quizzed. You'd think there would be some that would still get it wrong, or claim their papers are wrong, or something. Plus giving an answer like "staying forever" when you're only passing through would normally set off some red flags one would think!

alot of good tips in here and im tempted to try yet another run (to go for a good fascist ending with little to no infractions) but im a bit burned out right now, it all gets blurred together after a bit
