Just wanted to add, I have seen many posts from people suffering graphical and other issues running PG2. Yes you can mess around with the .dll files or the compatibility settings,
But honestly the best thing to do is after installing GOG PG2 , download and install/extract OPEN GENERAL and run PG2 using that.
Open general will load automatically all the games original Campaigns and Scenarios so you do not have to fiddle about with the files and folders
You can download Opengeneral from here :
http://sourceforge.net/projects/opengeneral/
Documentation and further directions can be found here

IF it the mod and Efile stuff is confusing to you - As I said just extract Open general to your PG2 install - the main folder - and when you launch Opengeneral , voila- just PG2 but no graphical issues and modern resolutions - also it can be set to run in a window.
