i'm at C1 catacombs and i am getting pissed of because this game started crashing while loading or saving after the first explosive ones appeared and i really need a patch for this cuz knowing that every autosave/normalsave/load can and will crash the game is not a painkiller, but funkiller.
i have a better name for the autosaves: autocrashes.
too bad this kind of bug is encouraging me to stop playing
i really want to find a solution in which i don't have to reinstall it (bad experiences with uninstalling stuff)

In answer to the question, no there is no patch, the GOG version is already updated to the latest version of the game.

As for your problems uninstalling things, what kind of bad experiences have you had? A long time ago in the early days of Windows, uninstalling things was a mess, but today, it's little more than a click on a shortcut, hit next a couple of times and whatever you wanted gone is gone.

I also encountered same problem. In Catacombs level there are certain autosave point that crash when i tried to load it. I play in Trauma difficulty so i can only rely on checkpoint. But i solve this by not dying until the last checkpoint before boss battle.

I had the same problem with Catacombs; the autosave before the boss wanted to crash me out, too. Had to refight the big battle scene right before that, then make a different save.
