I received a reply form the developers. They were very kind. They fixed immediately the bug and contacted GOG to upload the fixed build.
They also sent me a humble code to download the fixed version from there, so I could try it sooner.
I confirm that the new version fixes the bug.

EDIT: the game has also been updated here on GOG.
