Hi.

Can anyone tell me if the Outlast Whistle Blower DLC from humblebundle will work on the gog version? It's drm free, but I don't know whether you need the gog version to play it.

Any help would be greatly accepted.
Thanks in advance.

It might work, but then again, it might not. This sort of thing varies from game to game and version to version. This is the reason why GOG won't let you buy DLC for a game you don't own here unless you purchase it as a gift -- they can only guarantee their version of the DLC will work with their version of the base game. If you buy the DLC elsewhere (or buy the DLC here to use with the base game bought elsewhere), GOG Support won't be able to help you if you try it and it doesn't work or has problems.

Bottom line: If Humble's selling Whistleblower cheaply enough that you're willing to gamble on it -- and eat the cost if it turns out to not be compatible with a GOG copy of Outlast -- then I say, "Go for it"; otherwise, wait for it to pop up here at a minimum 50% discount.

(Sorry if this isn't very helpful. If not, I hope you can get a more useful answer from someone...though as dead as this subforum is, I'd try searching / asking elsewhere, too.)

No worries, I bought it, it worked. I thought it would, after all drm free + drm free seems logical. I just wanted to double check first.

You never can tell with these things, though, even when both are DRM-free -- "logic" doesn't always apply. ;D Still, I'm glad to hear it works in this case (and I hope it continues to work :) ). I hope others are helped by this thread, too.
