After getting a update today i noticed GOG is on a older version than what;s available. Is there a reason for this?

The Legacy version is 2.0.6.143. The normal version should be 3.0.8.246. The latest available version is 3.0.9.250. OWSupport has no control over when Bohemia publishes patches on Steam or GOG. Bohemia was sent the latest version on the 15th July but has not responded.

You can use the patch's on both GOG and Steam. Note that OW's Discord will always have the latest patches.

To me, the normal version just "updated" to "3.0.1 Beta" ?!

If you run owar.exe what version does it state? (What the games files state is the only true version, what GOG states is whatever Bohemia has made up and doesn't match the actual version)

Funny after the update yesterday it was different now it;s the same as yours.

The launcher show "3.0.8.246", so the latest update don't contain the latest version ?

As i stated Bohemia was sent the latest on the 15th July. If you want to manually apply the 3.0.9.250 patch you can.

The game works and all, but it keeps wanting a Steam .dll file.

You can't just delete steam_api.dll and expect it to work. Delete or rename OWSteam.dll and nothing will call steam_api.dll .

You think this is a Steam version and for some reason I deleted the .dll file? No, it's the latest GOG 3.0.1 beta. The solution works though.

Past GoG OW's had the steam_api.dll included. I do not control what Bohemia puts on GoG, so if they have missed out the steam_api.dll then the game isn't going to run while also having OWSteam.dll . Bohemia never actually asked me which files are needed on GoG.

3.0.1 beta also isn't an Original War version. I don't know why Bohemia is using some random version numbers on GOG as that is not what the game version is. Original War should be on 3.0.8.246 just like steam.

The latest version is currently 3.0.9.282 (Which can be found on the OW Discord)

P.S There is no such thing as a "Steam Version" or a "GoG Version". OW does have support for Steam's API but that does not mean its a Steam Version. You can use the patches/etc on any "version". GoG and Steam should have the exact same files (Unless Bohemia misses some out). Technically steam_api.dll should be included on GoG as OW patches contain OWSteam.dll though i can account for it in future versions.
