If you look at the bottom right of the Main Menu it will tell you the version you have installed.

Stucuk: v1.12.2 has been released.
Please update your Patches Scrolls links.

New link to original war page: http://www.patches-scrolls.de/game/2998
And to patch page: http://www.patches-scrolls.de/patch/2998
It was updated to 1.12.8 few days ago.
Something I don't completely understand...this game is obviously still updated...are those "patches" are rather fan-made mods...or do the devlopers really somehow still support the game? And if it is the latter, why GOG seemingly does GOG patch the version here as well (or at least officially links to the patches)?

Devs outsourced the maintenace and patching to Stucuk in 2005 and I believe they still(?) go thru dev QA, at least did at some point. They have the game source code too so they should be considered official even if not made by original devs.

Background of Original War Support
Original War Support was launched in January 2006 to support the Original War community and to act as a place to launch new Original War patches from. In June 2005 I (Stucuk) started maintenence on Original War for Altar Interactive (Now called Altar Games). It took until the end of November 2005 for the first patch to be released.

In August 2011 Radzio gained access to the Source Code to help with Original Wars maintenence. Before this time he worked on fixing the Singleplayer and Multiplayer maps.

Bohemia (Who bought Altar Games) are informed of new patch releases, but OW Support is independent(We basically do whatever we want, within reason). They are not "Community Patches" because that term generally means the community put stuff together without permission and without the source code. They are Officially sanctioned patches.

The last patch made for Original War by Altar was "Patch 2" (Around 2001-2002). 1.03 and higher were done by OW Support.

OW Support has no contact with GOG, so i don't know what makes them update the version on GOG (They have updated it to what was the latest in the past).
