Hi guys!

Just wanted to leave a quick note to anyone interested in Operencia: The Stolen Sun that you can hit me or zen_jeno up on these forums if you have questions, problems etc.
Looks good. Might try it out.

Nice to see u guys on gog finally. Maybe some of your other games like the Pinball FX series or KickBeat could be released here aswell?
I've been waiting a long time for Operencia and can't wait to play it tomorrow.

Good luck for the release :)
Thanks for the no DRM.
I see you used "Unreal Engine 4" it’s a good choice!

Why is the combat in this game so bad???

Why do you have fights against up to 7 infinitely respawning enemies that you ALL have to kill in the same turn when some classes have ZERO AOE skills??
So if you start as a ranger like I did you gimp yourself to the point where progress is a chore not a challenge!!!

Who thought that a 65 Strength character dealing 8 damage on a critical hit against a golem was a good idea?

I know I can win that dumb fight against the two brothers where one turns into another stone golem on his death.
But I don't want to anymore. 7 hours in and I don't want to play this **** anymore. So I won't. I'll get my money back and spent it on a good game.

The only good thing: The writing in this game is really good and fun!! I like Joshkas personality.

Overall Wizardry 8 is a thousand times better than this game.
Is there any way to implement respawning enemies, for example when you learn fast travel, they respawn when you move to another map?
Being able to grind a bit would help this game alot, because as the previous post said, your enemy design is some of the worst I've ever played against.

Having 2 enemies take turns taunting me and not making me strong enought to kill one of them in one turn cycle without mad lucky crits? - No thanks, boring.

Having infinitly spawning enemies that you need to kill with an AOE or be stuck on for 5 minutes extra for no reason? -No thanks (do you even get more EXP for killing all the extra spawners this way, doesn't seem like it?)

It's a shame the enemies are so badly designed and tedious, because I really want to like this game, but you always feel you are 1 or 2 leves behind, all the time.

Another thing is that the attack numbers never seem to go up. You level up, but you do the same miserable damage with your regular attacks anyway. There seems to be no difference if you are level 1 or level 7 with the latest weapon.

Here's my tips for making combat better:
-Stop overusing timeconsuming strategies like multible taunters or infinite summons/respawners (bosses are fine I guess, they should be hard.)
-Implement a way to grind levels if you want to, you always feel underleveled.

Just got the game myself and I have to echo the sentiment, it's too much of a chore to fight, I too am a ranger, and though the dodge ability is great, the overall gimped damage is quite discouraging! I don't plan on returning this game though, as it still is a great game!

I'm still only an hour or so into the main campaign I hope that the game gets better!
Yeah, I like this game enough to keep on going, but combat is definitely the biggest flaw of the game.

For some reason it feels so random if I'm even doing any damage. Sometimes my 90 agility character just does 3 damage with a skill, then I use some melee skill on a 30 strength character that lists less damage in the info window, but he deals 8 damage. And then I use a fire spell I suddenly deal 25 damage. No resistances to any of the elements shown in the monster info.

It just doesn't feel right. Or enjoyable.

Also I agree, optionally respawning enemies would be cool so you could grind a bit, though I fear leveling up doesn't really do much of a difference anyway (but if would be nice to grind for gold at least).

Also dungeon design is tad bit too linear for a dungeon crawler. Especially mid game (hope it gets better in endgame).

On the positive side, the graphics are great and there are some really unique settings. The puzzles are okay and not too annoying. I also like the generally idea to have turn-based combat in a grid-based dungeon crawler (it's so rare these days).

Hello!

Very nice to see the Pinball people branch out and deliver another polished product! :)

I have one question for now:

On the level advacement screen, what does "Energy Cost: 0% -3%" mean? Sounds like I'm wasting a pick if I choose that talent.

It makes abilities 3% cheaper to use. Unless it is bugged.
