Please! Can I get some kind of official response from GOG! The patch fixing the game-breaking bug has been available to steam users for over TWO MONTHS! I personally like GOG over Steam, but the you still haven't released the patch that will let me to continue to play the game I purchased! Please fix this issue or at least tell me/the people why it is such an issue. There has been no official response!

Regards,
Ryan

Quoting GOG from facebook.
Hi Joost, we are aware of the patch and the problems it fixes and we apologize for not having it. We have contacted Kalypso and received word that there is a new patch coming out that will be distributed to all versions at the same time. Again, we know it's a right pain having to wait but please, please bear with us and know that as soon as we get the newer update we'll get it right out to you.
We can't give an ETA at this time due to the fact that the update is still in development. Sorry if this doesn't help much
I could understand if the patch was due out in a week or so... but it's been 2 weeks since your reply and we're still waiting. Unfortunately your quote isn't dated, so we have no idea how far back that was.

This would be OK if it wasn't a game-breaking issue...

Original FB quote was from January 30th. But yes, still no patch unfortunately :(

We will probably get an answer in about 18 hours. Right after the sale for this gane is over...

Seriously. The price now for this game is pretty sweet! But I am really on the fench after reading about game breaking bugs that the publisher couldn't care less about for GOG users.
Four months have passed and we have neither an answer or a patch. We'd like have some news by someone...
Still no patch this is just getting ridiculous.
I'm beginning to think I'll never beat this game.
I did finish it, but can't replay it. The Japanese Incentive DLC campaign can be finished without problems.

GOG should not only demand the patch to become available for us, they should stop selling this game till the patch has become available.

If I understand right, we are going to be getting a brand new patch at the same time as other internet shops. So for example, they'll all get a 1.08 patch at the same time.

My question is, it's been several months, so when is this patch coming out? Is it still being put together?

My problem with this whole scenario, is that sometimes companies don't follow through with patches, they promise and promise and never make them, so Kalypso may never even make this new patch. Will we get patch 1.07 then? And when? Gog.com doesn't have a good reputation for support, letting games go for over two whole years before patching them so they can work, and they still sold them.

I don't mind bugs, but game breaking bugs are the worst.
I guess I should have checked the forum before starting to play the game. Now I'm stuck too and there doesn't seem to be much hope for that elusive patch. =/

A couple weeks ago I contacted Kalypso's support team and was assured that the patch would be out soon.

I'm not going to hold my breath on that.

It's a shame they don't care about customer satisfaction. I was having a good time with the game, but my impression is now that they're unprofessional and I won't support that with any further purchases.

Thanks for the update, though.
I cannot understand the reasoning behind not giving the 1.0.7 patch to GOG for distribution. Surely it would take minimal work on their behalf, as the patch is already completed; any adjustments needed for GOG's version would presumably be minimal.
well with the influx of new owners of Omerta on GOG maybe we will finally get a patch now.
I clicked the big box on the front page (not the green 'Free' box) because I wanted to see what the game was about. Picking up something for free just because it's free...well, that seems pretty damn stupid to me. But clicking the big box for more information saw GOG giving me the game (with 4 DLCs) instead of taking me to the game's page.

After looking at the page I saw that there is an issue of some sort preventing completion of the game and that it's not avoidable. The GOG forums seem to contend the same thing, adding that not only has this been an issue for a long time but there is a patch that, for whatever reason or reasons, was deliberately not given to GOG. Seeing that the issues stretch back into 2013 I'm confused and concerned.

What's the full story? Is the game able to be completed or is the game-breaking bug still present? Was GOG deliberately, for whatever reason or reasons, not given a patch?
