Watch the example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-av-tCIkwzU&feature=youtu.be

What can I do?

My system: i5 4670, 32GB Ram, Msi Geforce 970 GTX Gaming 4G, Win 7 64 bit.

Thanks for Help!

Lool! You are funny! This is the only game which doesn't work and I should reinstall my whole system. I will wait for more help.
It gets like that for me after I alt-tab. If I don't alt-tab it seems to run fine for however long I play. I don't suppose that might be it?
Will be watching this thread with interest as I am also having this problem. Even navigating the options menu is excrutiatingly slow.

I have the same issue with my Laptop (older i5 with 16 GB RAM). My Desktop with i7 (also a few years old) runs it without problems. Just a guess: This game is heavily based on physics, maybe the problem is related to the graphics card?

wow , nice system you have :D
i was looking for the store page where we can reply on the game cause i was about to reply how nice the system req. are... until i saw this topic

Windows 7 / 8 / 10

Recommended system requirements:
The more cores the better
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: 1024MB VRAM, OpenGL 3.0 support

i mean "The more cores the better" sound very attractive especially since my old rig is pretty weak : quad core i5 2.66 ghz GTX 750 ti 2 GB ram win764 bit 8 gb ram ( only because ram was no longer available or i had the max of 16 GB)

Anyway, lucky for me the game has lots of bright explosion effects, which is a reason to skip it, the game it self looks pretty good.

It seems the game is more demanding afteral ( but it's currently in development) , i gues they will iron out the difficulties / problems)

Sadly no demo, seems many devs still believe a demo might prevent good sales.

Anyway, i guess even a i7 9700K would have problems running the game it in its current state

32 GB RAM on a win7? i thought 16 GB was the max. ?
you have the : PRo version i guess?

Google result

Here are the upper RAM limits for the different editions of Windows 7:

Starter: 8GB
Home Basic: 8GB
Home Premium: 16GB
Professional: 192GB
Enterprise: 192GB
Ultimate: 192GB

nice system: ( better then my old quad core, but somehow i forgot to upgrade the CPU back then )

i5 4670 specs:

# of Cores 4
# of Threads 4
Processor Base Frequency 3.40 GHz
Max Turbo Frequency 3.80 GHz
Cache 6 MB SmartCache
Bus Speed 5 GT/s DMI2

Anyway thats why i will save a little more cash to get the best i7 avaiable , i dont want to run a minium garbage pc i3 or i5, thats why the 9700K is the choice for me ATM.

Noita is currently insanely CPU heavy sometimes, especially if there is a huge amount of effects going on, it can cause some lag on systems. Ive seen it happen on many different machines in the streams. if it does it all the time then there may be another cause.
It really depends on what spells and perks you use. I had a wand that made homing electrified snow spewing projectiles and the perk that made the enemies fight among themselves more and somewhere around the end the game started lagging(and then stopped lagging a minute later) but considering the electrified snow piles constantly climbing and all the explosions i can understand why the slow down happened.
Enable/Disable Vsync. It happened to me and it fixed the game.

Does this happen *every* time you start your runs or is this a single/somewhat rare state? I'm sporting a 4 1/2y old potato Acer with an i5-5200U, 8GB RAM and an eXcuse of a GPU that is a GeForce 840M (2GB VRAM)... That said the game also runs just fine with the onboard Intel HD graphics (4400 I believe, if anyone cares).

On quite rare occasions my runs start in slow-mo too but quickly get back to regular speed once I delve down into the mines. I don't really have an eXplanation for that, I can only assume that depending on how the seed starts out the enormous amount of snow on the summit just above the entrance might cause a slow down since it's a couple thousand piXels that each react with each other.

Unless your hardware is busy doing other (heavy-load) things while you're playing I've really no other idea other than the simulated mountain of snow...
Lowering the resolution fixed it for me.
