As the game is launched, either from GOG Galaxy client or from the noita.exe file, the launch takes several minutes to bring up a window despite launching from an SSD, and the window is entirely white and in a non-responsive state. Any tips for troubleshooting or solving this issue?

Okay, so after a system restart, the cause identified itself. Apparently my firewall was in quiet mode and had blocked noita.exe from doing whatever it was doing. Now after restart the firewall (no longer in quiet mode) noisily asked me a half-dozen times to let noita.exe do various things... So the cause appears to have been Comodo and not Noita.
