Here's hoping it won't be much longer, but I've no hope. Wish I hadn't wasted my day away waiting on it. HG never fails to make me feel like I've wasted time/money.

Don't just throw HG under the bus, make sure to throw GOG under as well for not providing input or sticking up for us in this situation.

I certainly will never be doing business with GOG in the future seeing as this is how their customers get treated.

The thing is... you can't know who is at fault in this though.

True, but both are at fault for the lack of communication.

HG and GOG and both equally at fault here..EG>...

1) Clearly there is no support members or community staff willing to help or inform us of the situation leaving paying customers here confused. That sends a message to customers and potential business clients that GOG is unreliable.

2) HG clearly have no priority to both GOG paying customers or this service as a whole. Thus futher degrading GOG's reputation.

It's not a situation of who to blame, It's a matter of how much to blame two guilty businesses failing customers.

what's funny is i see the steam version is up on the non-steam sites already
I know we are a minority, but damn do I feel like a 2nd class citizen.

No need to release the update simultaneously, just please let us know when it will happen.

Yeah, but gog is a distributer. It's not their job to pre-empt developers, else developers won't trust them and won't release on their platform. (Steam could get away with it given their market dominance, but they don't pre-empt developers either afaik).

Gog are in a difficult position here because people expect them to reveal what they know, without considering the implications.

Having said that, yes, it does damage gog and makes gog releases less attractive, but anything else could damage their relationship with developers and publishers who could then crush gog's potential by refusing to release amongst other things.

So I really don't blame gog here, not least because the responsibility to release information on their own products lies with the developer, in this case HG. For gog to release unsanctioned information, or even reveal that there's no information is just not something they can do. (they may even be contractually obligated not to).
