Might be the underwater adventure everyone was hopping for with new sub and all.

Yeah, I feel it's an underwater update! But whatever it is, I'm happy to see HG as passionate as on day one. Sean seems very proud of this update when he stated "our first titled update since NEXT". And I love the fact that he's not wasting any time, he announced it last week or so about working on something big and now we have a teaser, and next week we'll be getting our hands on it. I guess he learned a great lesson: less talk, more action:)

Kinda worrying. And I know I should not worry. It doesnt refer to PC or GOG, but just instead, refers to PS4 and Steam. They forgot this community. And that is saddening since we dropped the exact same cash.

You shouldn't worry. It actually states for ps4, Steam, and Xbox One. I believe the "Steam" part refers to the pc in general. I doubt HG will throw us GOG users another low blow so soon since the last one, not to mention that all of the updates have been available for GOG as well. If it is indeed only for Steam and the consoles, I'll be damn curious as to why this is so; what makes this update so special than even NEXT itself?

Twice today and in two different locations, while in the game, the Abyss was mentioned. I won't say where or what was said because, spoilers. I'm still on v1.64 so I guess it had been planned ahead that after a certain date/time the game will start dropping hints about the Abyss.
Since I haven't updated since 1.64 those in game hints about the Abyss had to already be in place and on a timer, right? They can't just insert stuff into the game at will can they?

Oh, I wager they can insert stuff into the game at will. HG are actually very good at being creative with their cryptic style of revealing stuff. Also, in every update there is often extra additions to the game not mentioned in the release notes. There's actually a submarine file that someone data mined a few weeks ago which leads me to believe that The Abyss will be an underwater update of sorts.

The Abyss is being mentioned since Atlas Rises I think.

This C 5 slot pistol, at space station vendor , the one we can now click on. This actually sound funny, if it were not true. HG wasted a whole patch to turn a loot container, and its these people that wanna impress me, with survival and ladder gaming, pinch me please. I wouldnt trust them dog sitting. They blew a patch revision, turning a loot container!

Crap, there I went ranting. I am so sorry. Wel, that pistol, the C 5 slot, was a bland old graphic, but was called "somesuchthing of the Abyss". But looked very much like recycled old code.

So any ideas when this is coming to GOG? Looks like a very big and cool update.

No, but it's not on steam yet either.

It looks to be a very big update with lots of new base parts and entire revamped underwater biome. I think download on PS4 is like 5 GB.

OMG -- that would take me all day to DL. :-( Ah well, fire it up tonight I guess.

What kind of internet do you have if 5GB takes al day to download?

My update from 1.65 to 1.7 was 277 MB. Didn't mean to actually install this update and was just trying to check the size. Took a longer time than usual to apply the update.

EDIT: My update was through Galaxy. The offline patch is listed as 246 MB.
