Kinda lost on this one. I have the materials to construct the Construction Terminal at my base building. But I keep getting a message "Cannot build - must attach to building structure" when I'm inches from the building, and "Cannot build - Incorrect position when I'm abutting the building structure.

Can anyone describe the correct position in which to place the Construction Terminal at my base structure?

Perhaps you're standing too close to the wall? Which room are you trying to place it in?

As I recall, it needs to be placed on a base foundation or floor tile. It doesn't have to be inside an enclosed area, just on a base floor.

What Ditchinit said: you can't place it on the ground. If you want to put it in a room, build either a round room or build a wooden one that's two stories tall (they won't fit in a one story wooden room). A tip: you can only put one specialist terminal per room as well.
