It's now 3 weeks (begin of december) that I have no online connectivity anymore. I'm playing in Windows 7 x64.
I'm not a fan of MP play but I would like to do these Community Event missions when available.
In the discovery page, I only get a blue icon saying that it tries to connect, but it never succeeds (if success it would be green icon). My antivirus allows full online access for the game, and apart of this there are no problems with my connection.
What's up? Is this a Windows 7 specific problem or do other OS also have this? And any solution for it?

I'm on win7 x64. Had the same problem (or rather didn't know that a green icon is possible...)

Since I did that microsoft TLS1.1 update thing for community research I do nearly always have green connection for discoveries, too.

Somewhere down the page there is a 'Easy fix' download which worked fine for me.

The solution above works perfectly, NMS is connecting immediately after game start.

Are you launching on Galaxy? I have no connection when I'm not starting NMS from galaxy, but otherwise I always have connection.

No, I don't have Galaxy installed. What's odd is I can select an animal or waypoint that doesn't have a yellow dot and press E to upload it, and I hear the system give me credits and highlight the dot.

After installing GOG Galaxy, adding my games to it with the search folder feature, Verify/Repair'ing them - its working. I see Online with green circles.
it was the verify/repair that fixed it for me - my Steam NMS install was connecting fine but the GOG one was not.

i noticed the Network tab was missing from my menu, which was a bit weird. did a repair and it's back now.

Galaxy client 1.2.51. Win 7 pro 64. NMS 1.77 gog MP
