Personally I welcomed the latest update but unforuntately it has created a few thing that are not nice since the update to NEXT.

First, the sound cracks from time to time, somtimes less and sometimes more often. AFAIR this never happended before. Also there arereally disturbing sound in the backgeround, no matter if you fly or walk. It's a permantent noise which doesn't go away.

If any of the devs is reading this please have mercy and turn this off.
I have seen this posted about in other places, so it is an issue for some. Most likely a bug. You could try dropping hello games a bug report about it here:

https://hellogames.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

And in general it is always a good idea to wait for a couple of patches after a new update to NMS comes out.
Not had any of this. Are you using onboard sound? I am using a dedicated sound card. Could be that onboard sound is having difficulty coping? If HG have increased the processing requirements for sound (and I`ve noticed a lot of new sounds), this could be why. Would need to know your system.

For a start, try updating your sound drivers.
Don't think it is that as i've seen PS4 and Xbox gamers talking about it too. If your using a really old save it might be one of those bugs? some of the latest patches have aimed to fix the 'old save game' bugs so might be worth a shot if you have not already got them?

I get an annoying buzzing sound. It goes away when in a menu like conversing with an alien, or opening a galactic trading menu. I've also noticed it disappear at times while flying. I wouldn't be surprised if there is some conflicts related to USB devices, like controllers, etc.

Same here, it's just like I experience this bug.

Regarding the posting from Socratatus: It doesn't matter if I'm using onboard sound or not. This bug wasn't there before the NEXT update and NMS is the only game I experience this bug in. Sound drivers are up to date so there is plenty of evidence that this update has made the game buggy. It's not like that you are talking to a beginner.

For now I uninstalled NMS because of this. Not that the game is not playable but it is definitely no fun at the moment.

Your advice sounded patronizing, it's like you think that someone sits here who has never seen a computer before. You should think about this. If I insulted you I'm sorry but your advice was absolutely not helpful wihtin this topic.

You know, you have all your life to be an idiot, you could try and take at least one day off.
