Hi.

Some fellow traveller just popped into my system, complete with a crashed starter ship. Tried text chat (using <Enter>), but got no reaction. Anyone ever tried to text chat and succeeded ?

Edit: Text chat seems to work. Probably should mention 'Press enter to chat' more often.

Also, I seem to be unable to hand items over to their inventory (wanted to drop some Sodium Nitrate, since they're on an irradiated planet and might have a hard time).

I tried placing a portable refinery, and dropped some Sodium Nitrate in there in the hopes they'd be able to pick it from there.

So, anyone got item exchange working ? And if yes, how ?

Edit: Item transfer seems to work sproadically. No idea why it sometimes won't let me / us transfer inventory items.

PS: Version is 1.77_GOG_MP

Haven't had any issues transferring items. You have to stand close to each other and make sure they don't walk off while you're trying to transfer, otherwise you just hit X like when you are moving items from your inventory to your ship or freighter. Their name will appear on the bottom of that list.

Chat has been a little wonky however. Sometimes there's some delay between when you hit enter after your message and when it appears. Also the chat window disappears too quickly sometimes. A friend and I have resorted to just typing a period to get the chat window to reappear again to see what they had said. All in all though I've been using multiplayer alot with someone and haven't had too many issues.
