Has anyone tried since recently with multiple saves in 1.38 (googling only gets 1-2 year old posts), copying a GoG NMS save, installing Steam and running the game from Steam?
Is it possible by making an initial Steam save and then pasting GoG folder you copied back into AppData\Roaming\HelloGames\NMS?
Hi,
i did that for the last Upate and it worked for me. Dont know if NEXT supports that too

Obviously: I just did this, worked fine.
Could you elaborate how you did this? I'm planning to get the Steam version tonight and would love to continue my savegame I used with GOG.
Thanks a lot!

Got it, apparently it's super easy. Just copy the savegame files under User/yourname/AppData/Roaming/Hello Games/NMS/Default User to the st_9759759759 (some random numbers) folder, done. You need an initial Steam savegame though.

Also using the NMS save editor allows you to do this operation flawlessly, altho... all the rewards you got from the expedition will be and only will be available IN THAT PARTICULAR SAVE, if you create a new save, you wont be able to claim this rewards in the quicksilver exchange companion. in a way,m it kinda sucks because i do wanna get the steam version because it has voice and also... multiplayer runs better... yes.. multiplayer on GOG comes with more issues, and to be fair, the game already has a lot of issues with multiplayer as well.. so free DRM or not... IT DOES SUCKS not being able to play properly with your friends...
