I can't wait until the next patch is released. Maybe all residual problems will finally be worked out and they can kickstart their content updates.
"kickstart"??

Who in her/his right mind would hand out money now to HG?

I meant kickstart as in the literal definition of the word, not that cancerous platform KickstartER. Sorry for the confusion. Hello Games definitely does not deserve a single extra cent at the $60 price tag they already put on the game.

I like the big turn-around about how "features" depending on size may be paid DLC.
Anyone want to bet when true multiplayer as in being able to see another player on the same planet gets added (if ever) that is a "paid DLC".

I would not be surprised if even simple features like a proper world map ended up as paid DLC. I just don't believe one word from SM and HG anymore.

*cough*
Had a bit of a shock after installing the new download when my game for the very first time since released, CRASH, on start up. I thought, `Oh no, the dreaded patch that actually makes things worse especially since I`ve not had any problems before!`

But it started ok on a second try so that`s alright then.

I`m going to be more careful about downloading these patches until I see they`re perfect.

Is patch 1.04 actually live on GOG? For me, the game does not seem to automatically update, despite having set update mode to Auto.

1.04 actually is no patch but a new installer, and if you are using Galaxy you best start doubting in everything that comes from this.

Run a "Verify & repair" check and it will force the update for you if you are using Galaxy :)

There is a patch for offline users available in everyone's libraries.
I am just too confused with all the different patches being released on GoG.. they don't seem to match up with the Steam patches in terms of file size and/or features fixed. Maybe they do.. but with so much back and forth and broken expectations, I'll be staying with the externally sourced patch until we get overt his release hump and have a properly stable build.. maybe in a week.. maybe in a month..

The game is working for me now.. it's at an acceptable level of performance.. I don't want to mess with that.
2 days ago I get a 800MB update, then today a 1.3GB update!

So one was 1.3 and now 1.4?

I did notice in the first update that crashing stopped and glitching with polygons have single pixel gaps in them sometimes has gone. Also some more things now render at the actual resolution, and are no longer upscaled from what looks like 720p, which is nice.

If someone had the original release from here, is the 169 19mb patch the only one needed?
Someone said this patch made the NVidia no man's sky update give him more fps...

Emphatically not the case for me on my GTX 660, now I gotta figure out how to rollback an nvidia driver update because it became unplayably stuttery.
