Can't change resoiution, make new character, save game.

When I make new character I get 'Logging character into module"
I can play with a premade character but when I save the game exit and does not save
My issue is that owning $2k Dell Alienware gaming laptop and not being able to run this in resolution I wanted, found realy strange. So opened a support ticket and get a reply, what made me angry. So what I found. Advices such as use windowed mode wont help, coz that wont bring the resolution selector at all.
Seems like you need second screen with resolution you want, full hd resolution in my case, and connect this by HDMI or DP or whatever wire you have, select this as primary screen in Windows controll panel. When you run config there you see that resolution selector is comming back to life, with many other options as well. So then you have to perform all necessary changes and run the game to check it out if all things are working as expected on that second screen.
Now the tricky part, you disconnect the current primary screen and run it on your laptop LCD and voila all settings are kept and game runs in fullhd. Guess thats coz that Intel GPU shite is hard wired to CPU and now even you cannot disable it, just check Nvidia PhysX and if you see something like Intel UHD or whateve connected to primary screen, then this might help.
I had the same issue as OP, though I was aiming for a slightly higher resolution. I got that pretty easily thanks to the .ini file editing procedure, but all the in-game windows and text are incredibly small, making the text unreadable and making it really hard to decipher icons in my inventory and on my hotbar. Any suggestions?
