I am planning to wear Armor with only a -2Arcane penalty [but best Shield available] so I can fall back on Magic Missile/NegRay in a pinch with only a 20% failure rate and I can function fairly normally as a Rogue with some ability with ranged weapons mostly as provocations luring Baddies into my Trap zones.

The last level of Wiz is mostly for Slow as I expect to find a Haste item and the Metamagic feat. R5 is to top off Skills and get 3d6SneakAttack. But I am wondering if the extra BAB of a F-12/R-4/W-4 build might be necessary. I can hardly imagine any worse endgame than not being able to hit anything except with Criticals.

Note: my OC game does not have Prestige Classes, Tumble, or Blindfight. Thanks in advance for all comments. I am still pretty much a noob.... Cheers!

[PS] an Epic continuation might become Wis-15/Rogue13/Fighter12...

You're spread way too thin. Your spellcasting ability is so weak as to be completely meaningless; you are literally getting more spellcasting power from your Rogue class levels (use magic device) then from your Wizard levels, so you should either vastly increase your Wizard training or eliminate it entirely. The metamagic feats are also completely wasted, since you don't have access to sufficiently high-level spell slots to use them effectively.

I'd suggest either Fighter 4 / Wizard 16 with a higher intelligence investment, or Fighter 8 / Rogue 12 to go with scrolls and wands only.

Your damage with these spells is much too low to matter, even if they didn't come with a 20% chance of fizzling due to armor.

Your caster level and intelligence are too low to use offensive magic effectively. Most enemies will shrug off your Slow spell like it wasn't even there.
What he said. Especially about offensive magic, forget it completely when multiclassing.
Even normally very useful summons are quite worthless, a 4th level character doesn't really benefit from having a badger around.
(On the other hand, likes of mage armor, bulls strength, flame weapon, displacement and haste are always useful.)

But if you're set on spellsword, one further option would be skipping the rogue class entirely. (pixie familiar can disarm traps).
Something like Fighter 12/wizard8 would be a decent option, though probably not as powerful as darwins suggestions.
But it would give access to 4th level buffs like stoneskin and improved invisibility.
Thanks. Message received. Going with the Rogue12/Fighter8 suggestion now.

For starters I see that having a Level 10 shape of 5 levels in each class allows adding Imp. Crit. as early as Level 9.

As I look back over my thinking I am realizing that while Magic Armor and Pro Alignment are always useful they are also very cheap and readily available. And I have never been particularly attracted to the whole concept of familiars.

Your F-10/R-5/W-5 has a pathetic BAB of 15. A fully class cleric has the same and has way way better spells.
If you want an arcane spellsword, you need 10 level in Eldritch knight
