The problem kicked in gradually. First one companion, then another, then all three will no longer follow me. It is a lot of work making all 4 characters move, more or less together. Reminds me of the tedium of Jagged Alliance travel.

Sometimes they won't auto-select combat foes too. It is like they are on puppet mode, only they are not. I was not fiddling with 'behavior' when this started.

Subsequent to the problem occurring, I've fiddled with all the 'behavior' options, trying to get them to follow me. But nothing I've tried has helped. (including reload, exit game/reload, exit game/reboot pc/reload.

Also, is there a known issues/workarounds faq somewhere?
Oh I notice from this post, below: nwn2_companion_ai_is_so_stupid

that there are some "voice commands" with keyboard mappings. I wonder if I accidentally told my guys to "stay here". Something to check, next time I have a minute to play. I will come back here and let you know if that fixed the problem.

I had this same issue. I used the voice commands menu to fix it. Press v, e, e and they will all start following you. That's how I got it to work.
Yes that worked like a charm!

Though their behavior during battle isn't quite the same as it was with the vanilla default from before I had the problem and started fiddling with it. I think I liked it better before. But I guess that means I have more fiddling to do. At least I know all the tools at my disposal, now.
Great! I'm glad I was able to help!

How do I use voice commands

Oh wait isn't using voice commands just pressing v key

I tried to do v, e, e, but did not help, so it must be something else.

When I would do v, e, e, it would say to all the companions, witch I have three companions and two pets, it would replay following enabled, witch mean its supposed to make my companions follow. But they just don't follow! Witch makes me a little frustrated.

It is a bug. Usually happens after cutscenes and the like.
. . . and finding that voice commands don't work, restart the map. That works for me.

I know it's a "little bit" late to talk about this bug, but anyway. I had it when I rested repeatedly and the only solution I found it's reload from previous save.....
