Looking for a server to call home and to get some RP in when I'm not on Dungeons & Dragons Online. I'm a DM for the Dungeons & Dragons Adventurers League in my area, I'm also a very active role player on a few MMOs (DDO, WoW and EVE mainly) and forums. As someone who regularly DMs, an immersive environment and story and player driven campaign is important to me. I also would prefer a friendly server, the less drama the better.

www.avlis.org was my home of choice back in the day. Its been some years since I've been on but they always had very dedicated rpers with little to no ooc chatter. The events of the world were heavily influenced by players actions. I haven't played there since probably around '09 so take it all with a grain of salt but definitely worth checking out. At the time I played there was none better in terms of rp quality in my humble opinion. But, personal preference being what it is you'd have to judge for yourself. I think they have regular dm events these days and timing your play around those are probably your best bet as far as finding others in larger groups.

I can second Prisoner of the Mist, it can be tough to get started on it but it's great fun.
