Hi, I bought this game a couple months ago and it always instantly crashed with no error code other than a force close prompt and gave up on it during that time, but I have finally came back to it and want to play it but I don't know what's causing the problem. The other posts i've seen explain them having an error code or something in response to crashing but I am in the dark with what my problem is.
Assuming this is for NWN, this thread might help: http://forum.bioware.com/topic/129767-installing-nwn1-for-win7vista-including-patch-links-for-all-os/

Running the critical rebuild might also help (your particular problem is almost certainly unrelated to it but it does fix some issues for people): http://neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/other/patch/169-critical-rebuild-english

Thanks, i'll have a look around those links!
If you have an AMD video card, rename "nwnmain.exe" to "nwnmain#.exe" (any number or whateever for the #) and then run that .exe directly.

That did it for me, thank you! But why does this work?

3D settings that the drivers apply to nwnmain.exe by default, aren't applied if you rename it.
