I was wondering If any of you guys had/have the same problem, I have my CD key and my account has been activated but it seem that I can only play the multiplayer when it wants to,(ive tried for 2 weeks, played online 2-3times) I can play with my roommate, so it doesn't seem to be an IP issue. it just says my key is still active try again in 5 minutes, I usually retry it a couple times then I turn it off, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

- You're not trying to play any of the premium modules in multiplayer right...because that won't work I think.

- I don't know about this account ACTIVATION? What is that? I have been playing NWN for like 7 years and never done that. I know that you need a gamespy account to play but that is built into the game and you can easily create a new account right there if you don't have one. No "activation" needed as far as I know....

- You know you can check your CD-keys right....they are in the file NWNCDKEY:INI there you can see them and edit if needed...

- You installed the critical rebuild patch?


The fact that you HAVE been playing online a couple of times makes it strange. Have you tried playing on multiple servers? I hope you're firewall is not blocking NWN....at least ports 5121 and 5122 should be open. Use port forwarding on your modem.

Create a new id and associate it to an email address that doesn't already have an id on it.
i just bought the game DL it and when I try multiplayer it tells me my CD Key is still in use and try again in 5 minutes. Well I had not been on in the first place but tried it any way still same msg - any help on what is goin on would be appreciated.

cannot help feeling like i just got scammed - is there just one cd key for anyone buying this fro GOG? That does not seem to be possible but really do not understand this msg.

Straight from http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/neverwinter_nights_diamond_edition where it indicates: "Multiplayer notice: online multiplayer mode is available after register your unique CD-key for the game. For details see: Support." which is right on the game listing page.
lightfoot - thanks I had done that.

NWNDM - thanks - I am not sure how to get my CDkey if this is the problem. I did the re-installer which got me to the point of being able to get onto GameSpy so I can see the list of games to choose from the msg I get is when I actually try to join a game either by direct connect or one of the non-password persistent worlds. There was what looked to be a partial CD -key in the subject line of the email they sent me with the instructions, but having had this game before, I seem to remember it being longer and having to enter 3 Cd-keys, one for NWN and each expansion.

Is there a step I am missing that you are aware of from what I describe?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

OK not having purchased NWN via GoG, I am unfamiliar with the instructions they provide in this email.

However... did you follow them?

If you were able to get into the GameSpy browser to actually see on-line servers, you should be OK. By this point, your product key(s) is/are already verified by the authentication server.
Thanks all for your help - they ended up having to send me a new email with a new attachment and after going back though I am all set! On to gaming!
Okay. I need a CD key... because being given a version of the game with a default CD key that is already in use is rediculous. I've tried to apply over the support section via the official route, but I get no confirmation that the message has been sent...

Which means, I supose the forum is my only method left for requesting one. I dont want to be a bitch, but I paid for the game and I would like to be able to use it to its full capacity. If I can't, then I want my money back.
Please, in the future, read the other topics on this board before posting your own, if you want a CD-Key you MUST use the gog support form, these boards are community and you will NOT recieve your key from here. You MUST wait at least 3 BUSINESS days to hear back from gog before posting here whining about how you feel like they robbed you, its your fault for not READING THE BOLD TEXT ON THE GAME'S PAGE.

Like I said, I went to the right place, tried to send my request on two consecutive days, without any confirmation. I've tried again today, and its loaded a new screen saying that the message has been sent. Perhaps I was having connection issues the past few days (either that or their support is inundated with angry NWN players).

The GOG team is always happy to help our troubled customers and I realise how frustrating things like that can get.
Anyway I'm happy to hear the serial number request sent well ;)
