Riven crashes before it even loads.

Is it a Quicktime issue?
*QT is not 'compatible w/ W10 so I cant uninstall it or install another version
*I have set Audio to Safe mode (waveOut only) by going to Edit/Preferences/Quicktime Preferences/Audio
*I have set video to Safe mode (GDI only) by going to Advanced tab in Prefences

End of Ages still works.

Am running Windows 10 in Bootcamp on a separate HD in a MacPro (2009) with a GeForce GTX 670 card.

Solution:
[Edit2: OK, I got all video crashing to stop, so now it runs perfectly. Go to C:\GOG Games\Riven - The Sequel to Myst, where the game is installed, right-click Riven.exe, choose Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, and uncheck *all* compatibility mode checkboxes, under "Compatibility mode," "Settings," and "Privilege Level". Do this again under "Change settings for all users". Click OK to save your changes. Now run Riven (through Gog Galaxy if you have it, or directly if you don't[/i]

Thanks Gwelty!!

Thanks for your post! Riven has been a nightmare under Windows 10.

Works perfectly, thank you Shrin and Gwelty

EDIT: Well, almost perfectly. I got past Altrus's opening dialogue and even got to move around a bit but as soon as I interacted with the strange mechanical thing at the start the game froze. Will have to try again at some point.

Thanks from me too Gwelty and Shrin! I had given up and gone to a site that sells old games. Works but a pain...you have to mount it each time you play. This is great! Take note Gog

You may have got confused here. The game does not open right into gameplay after Atrus - there is a few minutes that you have to wait while an FMV segment plays out. Then the cage opens and you are free to go.
