After I've collected the 4 books to the 4 different ages, and their in the book shelf in the Relto age, I try to re-enter the Teledan (not sure of exact spelling) age and it freezes on me. The screen goes black like it's trying to load, but the program isn't responding. This looks like a great game, I hope there's a solution.

Hi,
Are you using the linking panel to link to Teledahn ? Have you activaded any Journey Cloths on Teledahn yet that you could use instead ?
WHat OS do you have ?

Im not sure what you mean by linking panel, I'm using the book after it's in the bookshelf.
Also, I have not yet found any of journey cloths... wanted to see a little bit of all the ages first!
I'm using windows Vista.

The linking panel is the image of the Age you see on the book.
Have you applied compatibility settings to the shortcut ? XP SP2 and disable visual themes ?

yeah, I used the linking panel, and I also tried the compatibility settings you mentioned.

Well, most instances of that crash in Teledahn with Vista/Win7 i can find on the web were apparently solved by simply applying XP compatibility mode to the shortcut.
You have 'Run as admin' also applied to the shortcut, right ?
I guess you could also try lowering some of the quality settings with the setup tool...

None of that works. And yes, I did have it 'Run as admin'. I tried lowering the quality settings and everything else. Should I start over and just use the activated journey cloths? Do you think that might work?

Did you activated any jourrney cloths in Teladahn ? If you did, in addition to the linking panel you should have a cloth on your Teladahn book and you can try using the cloth to the link.
But that would mean you managed to link at least once to Teladahn without the game crashing. Is that right ?

You should make sure your drivers and DirectX files are up to date.
Maybe try to reobot your machine to see if the game still crashes. Sometimes is that simple.
If it still crashes, you could start over with a new avatar, go through the desert part, and once on Relto don't pick up all the books from the pillars. Pick up just the Teledahn book and try to link there.
If you manage to link there without the game crashing, you'll be inside a hut. Circle the hut from the outside and activate the first Journey Cloth.

So I started a new game, went to Teledahn, found the first journey cloth, returned to Relto, and sure enough, when I tried to go back, the game froze. I didn't try any of the other ages either. I don't mind the spoilder, but do you have to travel back and forth through the ages?
Could I finish Teledahn and never go back? Or do you always restart in Relto when you quit and restart?

When you quit and restart you always restart on Relto.
And yes, you do have to travel between ages a bit troughout the game.
Teledahn might be possible to complete in one go, but that doesn't help much cause you need to find something there required to complete another age, and in order to do that you'll need to link out and link back in.
You found one cloth on Teledahn and activated it, right ?
If on Relto you use the cloth on Teledahn's book to link-in instead of the picture, it still crashes ?

Yep

witty65: Yep

That sucks...
You should contact support if you haven't done so already.
Meanwhile i guess you could try to disable sound on the config tool, just in case it's some audio related issue.
BTW, what graphics card do you have ?

I already contacted support, and I already tried to disable sound! As far as graphics goes, I'm ashamed to admit I don't know. My knowledge of computers is pretty limited.
Thanks for your help though, hopefully support will have an idea. This game looks pretty sweet!

The game is great. I'm sorry it still isn't working for you.
To check what graphics card you have it's pretty easy.
Right click the 'Computer' icon and choose 'properties',
On the left you should see 'Device Manager'. Just click on that and look for 'Graphics Cards'. Click on it and it should show you which one you have.

I did as you said and I couldn't find graphics cards. Am I not finding it correctly, or is it possible my lap-top is outdated?
