...Uru Live.
Yeah, I know that's pretty much outside GOG's line of work, but still...I missed my chance to play the new Live content back when it was on GameTap. It'd be awesome if we got the whole package instead of just vanilla Uru...
URU Live is going open source. No need for it here.
I still don't know how I felt about Uru. I played the whole thing with the add-ons and such after it'd gone offline (didn't know it was online when I bought it), and while it was a good game overall, it left me with too many questions that never seemed to get any satisfactory answers.
I don't know if playing it live/online would have made a lot of difference, but I know playing it with other people present would certainly make it feel insanely different to the main games, as you'd no longer be alone.

lol, but it's taking forever for Cyan to get all of the open-source material ready. If only some big publisher would come along and help them...

Part of the reason for the lack of answers.... is the events that (theoretically) would've given answers, never happened. Ubi canned the first Uru Live, before it even really started. It was in the "Prologue" stage, when Ubi canned the original Uru Live. And well, GameTap's ideas on how Uru Live should be done.. caused more harm than good, really. So, all in all, it theoretically could've been awesome. It just never got that far, even in the year the GameTap version was running, but that might have something to do with staff shortages, etc. But, as mentioned above... Uru will be going open source... -- Or so Cyan says. Who knows if it actually will, mind you.
