When running Myst MME on Windows XP SP3 inside VirtualBox (4.1.8) (Linux host, Ubuntu 10.04), I experience sound glitches during movies. I solved this by changing the sound driver of the virtual machine to OSS (PulseAudio and ALSA was causing these sound glitches.) Audio controller: ICH AC97.

I use no compatibility mode on Windows XP.
