After installation I tried running the program according to the default setup mode (16-bit 65536 color 640 x 480 screen resolution) When the introductory video failed to run, I knew something was up. So After checking the properties for the program, I tried running the compatibility troubleshooter. It had me test the program first using Win XP SP3. The video still did not play, but I played the game up until the program stopped working at the first encounter with the imager. The program closed. I restarted the troubleshooter running the compatibility with Win Vista SP2. Still no introductory video, but the game went a little further this time until I made my way to the red glowing pillars. Then the program stuttered a little and I could get back in and continue for a few more frames and then it stopped working. Restarted the properties and when straight to the Compatibility mode and selected Win 7. The program went a little further and then stopped working. Restarted the properties, unchecked the Reduced color mode and the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings; leaving checked the comapitibility mode for Win 8 (I'm running 8.1). The program went all the way to returning to the imager to press the yellow button when it stopped working again.
I don't know what else I can do to keep it running. Anyone have some ideas that may help to do that? It would be very much appreciated.
