Johnny_RottenCore: Impatient and silly people. The Mac release has dropped for the Myth 2021 redo. Runs and plays super smooth on a 2019 iMac with 27" display. This kind of stuff takes a ton of time to recode and it's not like changing your socks.
As for the silly comments from the windoze users. Enjoy your virus magnets while we enjoy the raw power of the M1 class Macs. Makes your pc gamer systems look puny and over-priced now. LOL
Virus magnets...;) Lol...;) You're only about 20-30 years out of date. It's been so long since I had a problem with a virus in Windows I cannot recall the last time one hit--at least a decade--likely a lot longer. Also, from what I read, Macs are attracting more viruses now than ever--but possibly the AV protection Apple puts into every quarterly OS X update is taking care of those.
BTW, your M1 Mac cannot hold a candle to my AMD-3900X...;) Just keep pretending that software today is nothing but single-threaded...which also hasn't been the case for several years now. As usual, Mac folks are way behind the curve and have no idea of how far behind they are. Apple propaganda is just as cultish and stupid as it was when the cult leader Jobs was alive.
Sorry, but I had to say something to your so-typical-of-Apple propaganda remarks. The only way Apple has ever been able to make its products look good is by saying all sorts of untrue, negative things about "Windoze"...;)
Enjoying your latest CPU transition? How's that emulator--Rosetta--treating you
this time? I wonder what sort of CPU Apple will transition to next? You can bet it's going to come. Whew--all I can say is I'm glad it's not me! Talk about "expensive"--I'm proud to say I would never spend $1k on a monitor stand--ever. Check out Apple warranties, too--the shortest in the business last I looked. But what can you expect from a company that derives 90% of its income from selling cell phones--certainly not Macs. If all Apple sold were Macs--Apple would have been gone years ago. Think about that a little.
Look--I'm glad you are happy with your M1 Mac. But do yourself a favor in the future--don't blindly believe Mac propaganda about other systems, hardware, and OSes, because most of it isn't true at all. It's just marketing garbage Apple (and Apple fanatics) throw your way to make you think the Mac is better--when I can't see how that is true at all.

M1 is nice in single-core benches, it's true...but so much heavy-duty software today is
multicore, and the AMD CPUs contrasted here are older laptop APUs, not as powerful as my 3900X, which itself is nowhere near the top of the line AMD Zen3 CPUs available now. When Apple said the M1 was "The fastest CPU in the world"--well, it clearly isn't anywhere near that. The software trend follows the CPU trend--multicore performance is "where it's at." Single-core is a gas from the past. Most games are multicore today--even the current gaming consoles are 8c/16t CPUs.
