Hi guys, on another thread in general discussion someones asking whether gog version supports multiplayer or whether he should go for the steam version. Although I play on steam I've never seen any real difference on gog. Is there any reason to get steam over gog version?
downvoted for playing on steam XD

Probably the game has its own servers so there's crossplay between different platforms. I am not sure about that, but whenever I play some of the M&B games on multiplayer, there's plenty of people around, and I always play on GOG.
Hi mates,
I got no Multiplayer, the join and host are grey.
so is there a known way? I havn't found one on the internet, even after long time searching.

This seems like a good thread to ask. Are the servers down? I've tried for weeks to play mp but every time I get on in the lobby it says "Unable to connect to servers". I've tried a few solutions like messing around in the config txt and reinstalling the game but nothing works. Do I need GOG Galaxy, are the servers down, am I just stupid? Thanks in advance.
The steam players can play with gog players?
Also, those who bought the games straight from TaleWorlds must be able to play with others somehow so I presume they have their own servers but being someone who does not play multi-player, I honestly do not know.

You can play with steam players with no problem though after an update the gog version lags behind (give or take about 3 days) till the update is available so you won't be able to play with most people till you get the most updated version.

I have both a steam and gog version, I use the gog version 99% of time and the steam version those days the gog version isn't updated. the gog version has the advantage of having offline single player while the steam version has the most updated multiplayer; just keep in mind it doesn't update but maybe once every 6~ months.
