This is a rather pointless question, but I was looking for my serial key for Mount & Blade (not Warband) so that I could add it to my games list on the Taleworlds HP.
I got the game a while back as a free promotion (as everyone who was registered for gog at the time), so I'm guessing it has something to do with that. But still, there has to be a key somewhere for it, right? All my other M&B games have a key and I can dispaly it in the usual manner.

It's just pure vanity that I want to have all the nice little symbols in the Taleworlds Forum, but maybe somebody can help me out here.

Nope. The original game has no multiplayer, and the GOG version has neither DRM, nor any in-game features like achievements or whatever, that would require any sort of unique serial. Whether you got it during the giveaway last year or bought it, if you own the GOG version, no serial. (Sorry!)
