Ok, so I have found couple of issues so far.

1/ I started a new game and quiet often game simply exits to desktop with no error message at all. This happens when I enter cities/castles/markets/battles etc.
Playing in realistic mode doesn't help.

2/ Playing for Poland - Deluge quest

In my earlier game I got stuck after securing a peace treaty between Crimea and Poland. I did all quests for Mehmet Gerey. When I was ready to talk to the Polish King I found that he's been captured. Luckily (maybe not?) I happened to find him, attacked the Cossack army who had him as a prisoner and... he disappeared.

Now, whenever I ask any of the Polish nobles about the king, they don't know where he is (before they said that he's been captured by his enemies - but I freed him) I tried conquering some cities, tried simply waiting. Nothing works. It's been over 2 months in game time and the King is still missing.

Zagloba keeps saying death to the foes of Poland or something like that, I am still a member of Crimean army and i'm unable to leave as there is no such option when I talk to Mehmet Gerey - I have to talk to Polish King first but he's gone...

3/ This is an issue I managed to solve, but maybe someone will run into the same issue and my advice will help:

Once again I am playing for Poland, doing Deluge quest. I got stuck after conquering all Crimean cities. Mehmet Gerey left my army, I became the High Mirza. So far so good. But now Mehmet Gerey is gone and no one knows where he is. So same thing as my issue in point 2. Tried waiting couple months, conquering some cities etc.

A quick fix for that (at least for me) was: Once Crimea is defeated and Mehmet Gerey leaves your party, simply call all Crimean nobles to follow you. wait couple of days for them to gather around you. And ask someone about Mehmet Gerey. Tried that 3 times, worked every time.

Nice that it worked out.

I found all questlines pretty mediocre, and sometimes darn hard to figure out what to do next,
and sometimes the next step wasn't any too easy to accomplish in that moment.
Resorted to walk throughs (and cheat codes) a few times.

And somehow, just thinking of how crappy a lot of that stuff was... somehow makes me want to reinstall. :)
