You can force any resolution for MR1 (and probably the others) with dgVoodoo2:

Just follow the instructions for "Where's the Resolution Options? Why are there Missing Textures?" and "Stretched Picture". The rest are Steam-only problems.

It's not working for me, It seems to work in the menu's, but in the race the resolution is still low. Any ideas?


Edit: found it, it was the 16/9 setting in game option menu.
