I’d like to thank the studio for releasing the game DRM-free on GOG and, of course, for using its own in-house engine to produce a native version for GNU/Linux.

Because I appreciate that effort, I’d like to play under the same conditions as on Steam: with achievements and cloud saves.

GOG doesn't allow the use of the cloud saves service in native games. A collaboration with the Heroic Games Launcher would be perfectly possible, but it doesn't seem to be happening.

Achievements are available in the native version, as is the case with Streets of Rage 4. I don't know if the developers have included achievements in the native version to be used with Comet.

It's interesting how everyone has their own different preferences and priorities. Personally, I don't care about cloud saves as I'm just not interested in a dependency on any external services. Likewise, achievements mean nothing to me, as (in my opinion) they feel tacked on to add arbitrary objectives to extend gameplay time without meaningful content.

I'm happy to buy from GOG because not including those capabilities is a feature to me. :-) Of course, I recognize I'm in a minority there. Hope you find it somewhere else you're happy with and enjoy it. Looks like a cool game. Looking forward to playing myself.
Another reason not to buy it on GOG is because is more expensive that the steam version. Anyone know why is that?

Oh, I'm really sorry, it's a regional price thing. Thanks for the images.
Basically, Steam has regional prices, GOG does not.

No need to apologize.

I apologize myself, for not taking into account regional pricing.

On GOG, native games (linux) don't have access to cloud saves. This is due to the lack of an official client and collaboration with third-party clients like Heroic.

Also, the game is DRM-free on Steam.

Linux represents a 5% of the market share in gaming.

You want games but you're using linux
You want achievos and cloud saves but you're using gog

I think you're on the wrong platform buddy.

I like GOG and buy a lot here, and I play on my PC running GNU/Linux thanks to Heroic and Proton. It’s just like Steam.

I’d like—and this thread is a way to push for it—for GOG to allow the use of “cloud saves,” just as it does for Windows games. With Windows games, I have access to achievements and “cloud saves.” Thanks to Heroic and Com2uS.

I’d like it to be on the same level as Steam in this sense.

According to sources gog is developing a linux version of galaxy. In the meantime you can use heroic games launcher which I believe supports cloud saves and also achievements
