Playing Worlds of Xeen without full voice, I think my save file has gotten corrupted. On entering Castleview instead of getting the usual dialogue, I find myself in a corrupted Castleview with an endless map and random sets of tiles (like random patches of water, or a 8x8 block of broken walls). I was still able to complete the Goblin quest, notably, but cannot find the exit. Starting new games fixes this, but is there any simple way to recover my savegame?

Send your save files over this way; I can take a look.

It seemed like your save game was pretty messed up -- I spot checking a few "indoor" maps:they all had that problem; extracting them and trying to view them in the map editor threw an exception; your save file was not the standard size (too small).

As such, I grabbed your character from your save file and inserted into a new/fresh save file. Let me know how it works.
That works brilliantly, thank you very much for the assistance
