I have a huge problem with Might and Magic: World of Xeen.

When I try to sign in in a tavern (to create my own characters), The game suddenly freezes and the music goes on. The game is also rather slow during gameplay (and rather fast in simple menus).

My computer specifications
CPU: AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-58 (2 CPUs), ~1.9GHz
RAM: 2GB
OS: Windows Vista
Graphic Card: ATI Radeon X1200

If you need more information to help me with my problem, just ask.

Thanks in advance

Have you tried the basics like running it in different compatibility modes? To do so just right click the games shortcut, go to properties and then the compatibility tab. Also make sure to run it as an administrator if you are not already.
You can try running the install.exe in the xeen directory. Select adlib instead of soundblaster for sound.

It seems to solve the crashing, but the sound is horrible (I can't hear any speech either).
The adlib sound is different but not much worse, speech is not really important for this game.

Try mixing the soundsettings. Soundblaster Pro for music and adlib for speech (or maybe the other way around) should also work without crashes, you can also test the Rolands for music or normal soundblaster or PCSpeaker for speech to find out which works best for you.
You can also test if increasing or decreasing dosbox cycles helps (ctrl-F11 or crtl-F12).

For me soundblaster pro (at 220 7 1) for both works perfectly without crashing.

Soundblaster Pro works perfectly. Thank you very much.
I have not been able to play any of these games. when i click on the start icon it either gets me to the game which crashes immediately when I try to do any thing or I just get a black screen when I load one of these games. I hear music in the background but nothing else. (and no music sometimes)
