The character creation process for this game is getting on my nerves. Does anyone know where I can download a working character editor for this game? I want to change their stats. I tried googling for one, but that only resulted in dead links.

Haven't tested it myself, so not sure exactly what it does. Requires account on Google or Dropbox to download, though.

If it's just stats you want to edit, it's also easy just using a hex editor. Here is the relevant info, courtesy of RagingChaos:

You could try it if PetrusOctavianus' solution doesn't work for some reason. You can download it without a dropbox account, just right click on top right and select "Direct Download". It will ask you to sign in, but you can just choose "continue without signing in".

I know you posted your question on Might and Magic's character editor a long time ago, but I've just gotten into the game. I downloaded the character editor, but can't figure out how to use it. Any advice?

For anyone interested there's also the mod called "Where We Are" which does a lot more as well, it even adds an automap feature. I havne't used it but I found it linked here in another thread.

I love these rpgs and the first one for me is unexplored.. Might and Magic book one.. I am looking for a trainer or character editor that works.. nothing here I tried has worked at all... please help..lol.. please please and thank you.. :)

True.. I am just having a hard time leveling.. just needed an edge to get me started.. thanks for replying .. :)

You just need to grind the starting city until you're level 3.

After that, go to an area: if it's too hard, try some other one.

Anyway, if you can't find anything, and can't figure out how to use a hex editor, post your rostera file here, tell me what changes you want and I'll do it for you.

I don't use either. PM is best way to get me since I visit here fairly often.

But if you need help with the game, you're probably better off asking everyone in a thread here. I played it some 9 years ago and don't remember all that much.
