Installed this old gem and patched up with GrayFace MM8 Patch v2.4.1, and everything was running perfectly fine until I tried to drink a potion - then the game instantly crashes without any error message.

- it does not matter which character I use the potion on
- it does not matter which potion type I use

Reliably, and always, regardless of the options, the just straight up crashes.

I'd have though this would be quite a high prio bug and yet I just can't seem to find anything online.

Has anyone come across this?

The MM8patch.dll itself came from GOG, last modified 2019, but since I have not tried drinking a potion before the GrayFace patch, I do not know if this is a problem in vanilla game.

The stacktrace itself doesn't really tell me personally too much (never really tried to monitor memory addresses before to figure out what it's trying to access).

So at least the one option I could do would be to try to backup save files and do a clean re-install and attempt to reproduce if this is GrayFace patch issue or not, but.. still, I'd have thought this would be a more known issue, unless I won a jackpot somewhere.

Anyone came across something similar?
