Silver Cove is the second town with light/dark guilds. But they have very limited inventory while in Blackshire you can learn them all (except two highest, which are useless anyway).

What are the two highest? In 7 it was the kinda useless "Heal the caster but age him", which would've been less pointless if it cured everyone and Souldrinker, which was cool but not strong enough for its cost. Is it the same in 6?

They're Divine Intervention and Dark Containment. DI heals the party and ages the caster and DC inflicts random status effects on enemy (never used either). You can find the location of the learning books by deciphering all the obelisk messages.

Hn, those both sound pretty useless. Wait, does DI heal the entire party in 6? Because I'm pretty sure it only healed the caster in 7.

It heals all in 6,7,8 and even 9 (but in nine it's bugged, as is the whole damn game).
Here is the info for Divine Intervention: "Heals party of all damage, restores all lost spell points and removes all adverse conditions. Can only be cast 3 times per day and ages caster 10 years."

Ok... but for the aging part.

I could've sworn the description in 7 said it only healed the caster.
Maybe you're thinking of one of the potions? There's Divine Power, Divine Cure, and I think Divine Restoration. Could be one I'm forgetting...
The well that removes unnatural aging might remove the aging from Divine Intervention.
