Out of curiosity, does anyone know how the score is calculated in the Might and Magic series?

If you;re going for score, does it make sense to thoroughly explore the game world, or is it better to focus on doing the minimum necessary to beat the game quickly? Or is the best strategy some middle ground?

Also, is there some strategy that, given enough time, would allow you to get the maximum possible score?

(These questions apply to every game in the series that gives you a score at the end.)
Score in Might & Magic is measured as 1000 x Fame / Time, where time is the number of days completed. With respect to score, a new day starts at 9:00 am. Since Fame is calculated as the sum of the experience (kills and completed quests) of all four characters, which can be influenced by other factors than merely good gameplay, a few groundrules are necessary to make scores compatible. I suggest to go score and high lvl's together.., gives more joy-ride

Is this true for earlier games in the series?

So, in MM2 for example, would the optimal way to get a high score be to repeatedly fight a certain encounter that gives huge amounts of XP, then quickly beat the game?
My Best score is for over 450 lvl is that what you see...
I was playing for the highest Lvl that i can reach in one year of Enroth...
But i will give a try for highest score.., again... because i really cant find the old save of mine (that i finished in 10 days)
