Hello,

I have been able to play MM6 just find until recently. I downloaded the game from GOG because their version was compatible with my HP Windows 7 Vista laptop but now, I can't save the game! Whenever I try to click save it takes a few seconds and then says MM6 has stopped responding or isn't working properly. The intro doesn't work either.

Also, I came across a glitch for the Temple of Baa in Castle Ironfist. The key needed to open one of the doors to the left side of the main room has vanished! I believe I had it in my inventory at some point. I don't remember setting it down somewhere because I never do that. I normally try to complete a question right after I'm given it if I have enough experience.

Thirdly, when I went to the circus in Bootleg Bay during December through March to retrieve the prince, nothing is there even though an online walk through that I trust says he should be there during a certain time frame. I'm not experienced enough to try searching the other location. I already check out Blackshire but the tents are empty

So the main question is, what do I need to do to fix these glitches?!

Did you install Might and Magic into Program Files? If so, back-up save-files and reinstall it somewhere else. Don't make shortcut of MM 6 manually to desktop too (my original MM 6 being launched from shortcut on desktop tried to copy all files there and had problems saving), launch it from "Start" menu or from its corresponding folder. Also, do you have Windows 7 or Vista? Those are 2 different OS, not the same one.

Did you visit Shadow Guild Hideout? Enemies like Thief, Burglar and Rogue can steal items from inventory. If not... Temple of Baa has series of doors and keys, perhaps you had key to other door (and perhaps used it but didn't take next key), and not to that room.

What concerns circus... Circus workers don't like cannibals, so only central tent will work in Bootleg Bay (and prince will be there if you visit it during December).

Temple of Baa will fully respawn in couple game years, Circus will also be there in August in Mire of the Damned. There are chances that your savegame files got corrupted because of installation folder and not launching it as administrator.

And, did intro stop working only at some point, or it didn't work from very start?

When a classic game won't save in Vista/Win7, it's often due to the way the UAC works.
Try running it in admin mode, works for most games.

As for the glitch, I'm afraid I've got nothing.

Not sure, but does going to Seer and saying "I lost it" give you any quest items you lost?

Thanks everyone. I'll try the suggestions about going to the seer. Also, it appears to have been a corrupt file. I did some searching around and came across a GOG article with that same problem. Works to save now. I also cleared out Bootleg Bay and the circus is back, so I managed to complete that quest along with the shield quest.

I may have visited that guild at some point, but I don't remember it.

The cut scenes for the intro didn't work from the beginning.

Could you tell me what that article was, i'm having that same problem

Install Grayface's patch and the Circus bug will be fixed for sure. And a myriad of other ones as well.
